Education: University of Delaware
Years in Industry: 23 years
Favorite thing about working in the AEC industry: Watching the projects come to life, starting with the initial design, working together as a team to develop the plans, the first shovel in the ground and the final completion and turnover after the years of hard work.
Most memorable professional experience: Going to London, England to finalize the design for the exterior façade system for the Harvard District Energy Facility (DEF) project.
Recent project you’re proud of: Harvard District Energy Facility – Prior to the DEF, I had never worked on a project of this size with such a large team. The job was complex, the schedule was demanding, and the design was challenging. The project required full mechanical and architectural teams working side by side, collaborating on every detail from the exterior to the interior. I learned something new every day, and our team grew together and stronger throughout the process. It was an experience I will not forget, which created friendships I cherish to this day.
Special skill we may not know about: I was on the United States National Figure Skating Team.
Favorite place you’ve ever been: Helicopter skiing in British Columbia and Vail, Colorado
The one thing in the world that you cannot live without: My dog, Jaxson
What you’re likely to be doing on a Saturday: Skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer
Who inspires you the most: My father. He was the hardest working, honest man I’ve ever known who touched so many lives before his untimely passing in 2015.
Why are you a member of PWC: I like to think I can help younger members grow their careers and adjust to the sometimes-difficult landscape of our industry through the shared experiences I have had over my long career.
